The Caiman Ecological Refuge is located 147 miles west of Campo Grande, Mato Grosso do Sul State Capital. The Caiman Ecological Refuge is comprised of one main lodge and 3 additional lodges in strategic points of a 53.000. Her ranch, as follows: Caiman, Piuva, Baiazinha and Cordilheira. These lodges are occupied in 2 distinct programs and in packages. Spanish-building has 11 apartments with private baths and air conditioning, a pool, a restaurant with offers home made meals and living room with tv and video.

To accomplish the program of sightseeing described bellow arriving in Caiman on Thursday and really enjoying the maximum of it, we set a minimum of 3 nights in one of the pousadas of Caiman: Sede, Bahiazinha, Cordilheira e Piuva.
Our regular programs are:
Hiking: Bird watching and observation of the local animals in its own habitat.
Alligator's hunting (focusing) by night.
Horse back riding: Crossing the land and swamps of Pantanal enjoying the animal life and vegetation.
Caiman by Boat: Paddling through the waters of Pantanal.
During the night: presentation of videos and slides.
The transfer in to Caiman is every Thursday and Sundays, made by van with air conditioner. It takes around 4 hours to arrive at Caiman Lodge.
Arrival time: Airport of Campo Grande/Caiman: 10:00am, 12:00h. and 04:45h am;
Departure time: Caiman/ Airport of Campo Grande: 07:00am and 11:30am.
